The last developent phases in the completion of Kettle Valley include the Highlands, the Summit and Quilcena Flats.
The Highlands and The Summit
With the Quilchena Flats phase on hold (See below) Kettle Valley Developments will be carrying on with 2 other developments on the hillside. “We’re focusing on the two remaining parcels to the east and south of the Village of Kettle Valley,” says Project Manager, Stephen Wells.
The Highlands are 90% sold and the Summit is 30% sold.
The number of units are still not finalized for the Quilchena Flats phase,” says Mr. Wells, “But we’re planning on a density of between 65 and 85 units”,
This will most likely be one of the final phases in Kettle Valley’s 22-year history of development.
In the interim, the City of Kelowna will continue to use and maintain the sports field in its current location until the end of the 2019 soccer season.
Sports Field History
In the early stages of design for Kettle Valley, a large part of the land parcel was dedicated for a secondary or middle school. The land was set aside for a period of 10 years to give the School District adequate time to decide on whether or not to exercise their option to use the property. At the end of the term the land parcel reverted back to the developer on contract.
